Ansaldo Caldaie has been awarded the order for the supply of 3 Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG’s) from Hyundai Engineering Co, a leading Korean EPC company. These HRSG’s are to be installed at Abu Dhabi’s Mirfa Independent Water and Power Project (IWPP), owned by a joint Company between GDF Suez (20%) and Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA). The project will be executed by a Consortium led by Hyundai in partnership with Ansaldo Energia. The HRSG’s will be of the horizontal gas flow, two pressure level, natural circulation design with supplementary firing for optimum flexibility. They will operate downstream of 260 MW gas turbines and the plant will have a  total power generating capacity of 1,600 MW.
